  • Yes, you can take it to the field with no laptop after you solder NS-RAW to NavSpark's SD-logging adapter board, and plug in an external antenna and battery pack.

    Is your NS-Raw only enough for GPS Phase data Logger or any others additional stuff  (SD-Card Logger, external Battery, antenna block, etc..)

    I mean: Can we Use it without any laptop at the field ... Ok

    Item 2 and 3 relies on the 3rd party software you use; we don't offer this software.

  • NavSpark, NavSpark-GL, NavSpark-BD are programmable. NS-RAW is non-programmable. Similar to many software that has student edition, personal edition, and enterprise edition (same software with different features), they are sold as separate products. If NavSparks are offered at say $250, it would have programmable and raw measurement features.

  • I'd like to save raw data to SD card, so I will look forward to trying this.   Maybe now after 10 years we will finally have something like the Delorme Earthmate Blue Logger GPS, except that actually works :-)

  • This NS-RAW firmware update writes the same binary raw measurement output over USB to the SD-card if user connects Adapter Board with SD card in place. In FAT32 format, logs to another new file when reaching 2 GByte file size. You'll need to unzip and use GNSS Viewer to update firmware.

  • It may be true that the orbital error is the dominant factor IF you have a dual-frequency receiver, which until now most professional geodetic GPS users would have.  Navspark is a single-frequency device, so without being able to cancel out iono / tropo effects with two frequencies, that is by far the dominant error.  With RTK over very short baselines, I suppose it is possible there is enough cancellation to minimize it though.

    I am waiting for my NS-RAW unit, anxiously !
    Any way i have a question.
    NS-RAW seems to be GPS only capable.
    NavSpark-GL model shows GPS+Glonass but is code only receiver.
    NavSpark_GL and NS-RAW, both use the same Venus822A 1408-GK chipset.
    Why NS-RAW has Glonass carrier phase disabled ?  Can I turn it on some how ?

    btw, skytraq-s1315f-raw can log GPS and Glonass.
