Hi,

I have recently purchased 2 x  NS-T : PRECISION TIMING MODE GPS RECEIVER to evaluate the 1PPS output signal as an accurate time sync. option between 2 systems. When I power up both modules and compare the 1PPS o/p signal on a scope, they appear to be varying quite a bit, from 0nSec to over 600nSec.

Is there anything I can do to improve the accuracy, some setup change ?

I am using the GPS/GLONASS ACTIVE ANTENNA.

  • Testing by window side, using one active antenna and signal splitter feeding signal to two receivers, I get below result:

1PPS variation with respect to another is about 35nsec, ~ +/-16nsec.

If you are seeing 1PPS varying 0 ~ 600nsec, could it be your receivers are not getting fix and 1PPS is drifting?
