SUP8DOF NMEA sentences

I have been using the sup8dof for a while now & it is a great module and perfect for many marine applications. However it would be good to also output the compass heading as a separate NMEAsentence eg $xxHDM (or HDT etc) as many autopilots and navigation systems expect this & not all can extract from the RMC sentence. The feature of using the GPS heading while moving is good also (but would be nice to have the threshold speed configurable. I have had some difficulty being able to extract the…

Antenna for NS-RAW

I want to use NS-RAW to map existing infrastructure (for example burried cables) and to locate them in future, i need somethink like +/- 10cm accuracy for this. I have one NS-RAW with some small antennas (internal antenna from NAVSPARK and some magnetic one). I'm using public basestation via NTRP protocol (running RTKLIB on laptop) but it's very hard (almost impossible, tried a lot of settings to get FIX. I think i need bigger antenna for my rover. Can you recommend some relatively cheap one…

SpaceUP

The 3rd of oktober a space "unconference" will be held at ESTEC in Noordwijk, the Netherlands. An unconference is like a conference without any formal programme. You announce a presentation or workshop at the day itself. The idea is to promote spontaneous exchange of ideas. I've seen some participants from the Netherlands in this forum. Would anyone be interested of having a navspark/satnav for the arduino hobbyist at the SpaceUP event? It would be a good event to meet and share experiences.…

I2C Improvement

Along with latest Windows and Linux Board Manager support update, the NavSpark I2C library has been improved to allow easier adoption of other vendor's example code when using their break board.

Using Adafruit's 10DOF break board and BNO055 break board, below list modification guidelines needed to make them work with NavSpark:

1. Change all #include <Wire.h> to #include <TwoWire.h>     click below image to zoom…

Check out my RTKLIB settings:
NTRIP: RTCM 3
Elevation Mask: 20 (if sufficient number of satellites)
SNR Mask: 40 (to prevent cycle slip)"

Thanks!"

"Use GNSS radar check what time at you location has fewer GPS satellites overhead, http://www.taroz.net/GNSS-Radar.html ; Avoid use NS-RAW + RTKLIB at those time will have better chance to get fixed solution, more satellites is better.
We have used $8…"

"The article mentioned a software receiver based method, more flexible to try different approaches to the problem. Currently our implementation is hardware based, less able to try unconventional methods. Thanks!"
